About this Event

Join us for a gaming evening at Colchester Castle on Friday 27 November 2026 from 6pm to 10pm. In partnership with Ace Comics, this after-hours event invites you to gather friends, bring your favourite board games and enjoy an evening of gaming in one of the city’s most historic buildings.

Whether you enjoy traditional board games, role-playing games or want to try something new, there will be more than ten gaming locations across the Castle. You can view the event map here to explore the gaming areas and table locations available on the night. For more details about the evening, please see our Gaming evening FAQ 2026.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink and after-hours access to the museum’s galleries, exhibits and artefacts. A limited bar will be available throughout the evening. Ace Comics will also have a selection of games available and staff on hand to help visitors learn something new or join a game.

The event is suitable for ages 10 and over. If you have any questions or would like to discuss support requirements before your visit, please call 01206 282939. For information about accessibility, facilities and how to find the venue, please see the Castle access information before attending.
