About this Event

Spend a festive evening at Colchester Castle on Friday 18 December from 6.30pm.

The night begins with a guided tour of the Castle’s Roman foundations, followed by a Christmas quiz that will put your seasonal knowledge to the test. Whether you’re meeting friends for a festive catch-up or planning an alternative office Christmas celebration, it’s a great way to enjoy the season in one of Colchester’s most historic buildings.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink, festive nibbles and after-hours access to the museum galleries, giving you time to explore the exhibitions once regular visitors have gone home. A limited bar will also be available throughout the evening for additional drinks.

This event is for adults aged 18 and over.

The guided tour takes place in the Castle vaults. Access to this area is by stairs only and there is no lift. If you have any dietary requirements or access needs, please contact the Castle before your visit on 01206 282939.

For information about facilities and planning your visit, see our Access at the Castle page.
