Castles As Homes

Suitable for KS1

Colchester Castle is an exciting and unique place to visit for groups studying ‘Castles’ or ‘Homes’ as a topic.

An exciting day exploring Colchester Castle as a home. Dressed up in our colourful knight’s tabards, your pupils will experience what it was like to live and work in the Castle.

Storytelling, trails and hands-on activities will spark your class’ imagination and keep them actively engaged.

The day includes three sessions and time to visit the Castle shop. Alternatively, your pupils can take home one of our goody bags. Details of what is included and how to pre-order can be found under Downloadable Resources.
