Bring your class or after school group to Colchester Castle for the night and take learning to a whole new level.
Join us and experience the museum after dark and explore carefully selected historical themes from ‘Roman Invaders’ to ‘Life in a Castle’.
Children will have the chance to discover the museum’s galleries before sleeping in the wonderful setting of Europe’s Largest Norman Keep!

Explore the Galleries
- Exciting new displays, interactive exhibits and gallery trails help your pupils explore the museum.
- Interactive displays include Iron Age and Roman villa areas with handling objects.
- Get hands on with our interactive chariot ride.
- Look inside the Castle model and see what it may have been like when people lived here.
- Work as a team to build a Medieval arch.
Sleep
- Settle in for the night amongst over 2,000 years of incredible history.
- Wake in the morning to a cold light breakfast (dietary requirements can be discussed at the time of booking).
