Colchester is just 58 minutes on the main train line from London or Norwich. Arriving at Colchester North station, the museums are just a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride to the city centre.
Arriving at Colchester Town station the museums are a 10 minute walk, up Queens Street and St Botolphs Street.
Bus
The museums are a 10-minute walk from the main bus station on Osborne Street. Colchester Museums are partnering with First Bus*

Bike racks can be found outside the Castle Park gates by Museum Street and along Colchester High Street.
Car

To reach Colchester by road, exit the A12 at junction 27 and follow the signs to the city centre.
There are spaces for disabled badge holders by Castle Park in Museum Street, and places in the High Street.
